About
Although a recent starter in the professional EJ field, I've fostered a passion for the environment, equity, and community naturally through my Samoan culture and with joining the science and solar clubs in grade school. This passion led me to explore careers in social justice and community advocacy, eventually steering me to my current position as program coordinator with the Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement (APIFM) organization. With APIFM being based in Los Angeles, my specific campaign project is focused in an overlooked area of the LA county-- San Gabriel Valley. We're currently wrapping up our most recent projects and looking forward to see what our next projects may be that will continue to engage our communities' interests. I find this time exciting, and I'm intrigued to see and learn from the process my project will undergo to plan our next steps. I'm also looking forward to see how I can assist and what knowledge I'll be able to apply from the Community Champion program.
